MAX SUPREMEBIOGRAPHYThe artist that can hit all angles, Hip Hops Lethal Weapon and Golden Tehk, are all aliases of Omaha emcee Max Supreme. J.Stephens Musics first artist might attribute his many names to his extensive experience and evolution in the Hip Hop genre. Born Ozzie Johnson in Omaha, he began performing in 1994 with several combinations of local artists at venues like University of Nebraskas Student Union in Lincoln and Fines Tier 3 in Omaha.Supreme continued to work with a mix of local talent, including Crossphade Entertainment and began his recording career with two tracks on Crossphades Behind Enemy Lines in 1997. He has appeared on a series of compilations since then, including Crossphades formidable 1998 record 681, which garnered national attention. He is set to release his first truly solo album, Street Gumbo. His performance history is also grown to include numerous venues in the Midwest, including many college campuses and clubs in Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska. Influences on Max Supreme include local MCs like Jay Money and legendary street lyricists like Biggie, and Tupac. But Supremes style is not truly derivative of any artist. JAMAZZBIOGRAPHYIts easy to get lost in the crowd as an artist, unless you are the one the crowd is there to see. We introduce Hip Hop artist Jamazz. To some he is known as Mazzi Mo, others know him as J. Wes and few know him as Son of Jarell, no matter the name its the hunger you will remember. Jamazz was born as John Wesley Mays in Springfield, Illinois in 1976 and at 15 years of age when boys chased each other on bikes, Jamazz chased kids away with mics. As Hip Hop has grown, Jamazz has grown with it and has established himself as the frontrunner to catapult his home base; Omaha, Nebraska into the national spotlight. The first record that Jamazz released was with a group called Angels with Dirty Faces, known to most as ADF. They took Nebraska and most of the Midwest hostage from the year 1999-2002 and created a solid following at every show. In 2003, Jamazz released a solo album titled Lazy Fishin with veteran beat constructor DJ JVC and moved many units while creating a strong following as a soloist. In addition he released Genetics on Unda Tha Roof Records in 2004 with a great response. Since these three releases Jamazz has created a high demand to appear on projects with other Hip Hop artists in the Midwest. He is now set to release his third solo album, Social Butta-Fly. When asked about his solo album and his viewpoints on the state of current Hip Hop, Jamazz said only this; Many different elements, Social Butta-Fly is an example of that, constant evolution, never stagnated. His performance history consists of venues across the United States and has performed with National acts. Influences on Jamazz include Das EFX, Public Enemy, Ras Kass, KRS ONE, Ice Cube, Common, Mos Def, Ludicris, Outkast, Wu-Tang and anything real. F5BIOGRAPHYOn a Monday afternoon in North Omaha shots are fired, Hurrikane Furyus is the target. Unruffled by the events, he walks into the offices of J. Stephens Music a few days later to sign his recording agreement. Asked about his week he speaks like Kobe shrugging off reporters about the 46 points he just dropped, thats Hurrikane Furyus, saying a lot with out talking. Born in North Omaha Armond Morris Sr. was six years old when he found a N.W.A tape on his living room floor and the MC grooming began. A music video of Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock confirmed the decision to pursue a music career. A few years later he was initiated into the cities number one crew at twelve years of age and made his first album appearance 2 years later. His style is a combination of structured street talk and real time novels. When asked about why he emcees, Furyus answers simple and humble; Power. Hurrikanes delivery can be described as a calm furious spit, loud enough to keep everyone quiet listening for the next word. ABOUT OVERVIEW J. Stephens Music LLC is an American record label that specializes in Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Soul and Pop music. Johnny R. Stephens founded the label in December 2004. The label has signed and fulfilled recording agreements with 4 artists to date and has released 10 albums over a 7 year span. At least one J. Stephens Music artist has been nominated as Best Hip Hop Artist each year since 2006 by the Omaha Entertainment Awards. The label has achieved both national and global airplay and media coverage for their artist(s). The label currently has a digital distribution deal with a California based company that distributes the labels music to over 200 digital stores worldwide. After a 12 year career as an MC, label President Johnny Stephens decided it was time to take his experience in the music industry and start J. Stephens Music. Stephens who grew up listening to locker room and lunch room battles always had an appreciation for this raw element of Hip Hop. The concept was to capture the element of a MC battle on CD and allow consumers to help decide who won each battle. 20 MCs were selected to be on the first J. Stephens Music release titled Battle at Fort Omaha. The winner of each song was decided by the general public as each CD included a voter card that could be either mailed in or submitted online. The 10 winners then advanced to a live show to compete for $500. Stephens and his partner, Shane McClintic, were working on the Battle at Fort Omaha project when they became aware of an artist named Max Supreme. J. Stephens Music signed Supreme and released his debut album Street Gumbo, which gained National and Global airplay. It also received coverage by National and Global Magazines and Web Zines. Max Supreme has continued to record 2 more albums for J. Stephens Music. J. Stephens released the Battle at Fort Omaha on CD the following year. The release of the CD would be followed by a live Battle at Fort Omaha show featuring the 10 winners who advanced after beating their competition on CD. The live show was held in June and champion was crowned. To date no other CD has been released with the same concept that the Battle at Fort Omaha offered. A local MC named Jamazz won the Battle at Fort Omahas live show, and was signed on to J Stephens Music. His debut album The Larva State was released in August 2006. Jamazz recorded his follow up titled The Chrysalis and it was released in June 2007 which garnered both National and Global airplay and media coverage. In 2008, Max Supreme introduced Stephens and McClintic to F5. They signed F5 and released a 3 song EP titled The Storm Before The Quiet which garnered National airplay. In late 2008, J. Stephens Music signed veteran artist Sir Skrap to their first digital only deal and recorded a 3 song EP. Currently, J. Stephens Music has a stable of artists that they are test marketing and will be releasing singles in 2010.
